Amidon Ballistic Concrete® has been used in US Military Live Fire Training facilities continuously for years without a single failure. We take pride in our product and the safety record established.
Our in-house testing checks each and every batch we pour to make sure it passes our rigorous quality assurance standards.
The Army Corps of Engineers, Aberdeen Proving Ground tested our product and rated it superior to their own SACON (Shock Absorbing Concrete).
In addition, we regularly use certified and respected independent testing services to ensure we meet any and all industry standards. A sampling of third-party testing service companies used is below.

NTS Chesapeake Testing, performed Ballistic Resistance Testing in comparison to UL-752 standards. The outcome of the testing showed ABC exceeded all of the defined levels of UL-752.

GHD performed Lead Leaching tests with and without additives. The results showed that ABC without any additives exceeded standards and outperformed the ABC product with additives.

Grace Analytical tested ABC for freeze – thaw durability. This included strength testing and penetration testing in extreme heat and cold.

ESI performed compression strength testing starting at 24 hours after pour up to 28 days after pour. ABC compressive strength exceeds industry standards.

BLUEline Consulting has tested the ballistic integrity of our product since inception. The team has shot ABC over 70,000 times and provided detailed penetration test results allowing Amidon to refine ABC to where it is today.

Not only have we tested our products for ballistic absorption; we have also tested for strength, lead leaching, what happens in extreme hot and cold environments, and when submerged for a prolonged period.
